Next morning 7:00 AM, I was sitting at reception of my hotel, waiting for the cab for pick up and till 7:30 AM I was having patience but after that it was all over. I called the local number printed on my booking slip to know the status and was told to wait at hotel as the cab was on its way and being shared one, it is consuming time to collect all passengers.
My wait finally ended at 7:45 a.m. when one open Tuk-Tuk kind of vehicle came which was loaded with speakers playing hard music. My heart filled with joy as this type of vehicle was like a moving club and open around to enjoy mix of air and music.
Half an hour ride from hotel to sea shore was an unforgettable experience, loaded with tourists, playing loud music, morning breeze, hilly road, thrilling speed, it was a complete package. My morning got a perfect start which was good for the day. Again I missed bike ride in the journey.
On reaching sea shore, three speed boats were waiting on the shore, I tried to locate my boat which I thought to be similar to that of Phuket but we were told to board the speed boat after marking attendance.
As I was going to board the boat, one man with camera was taking photographs of all the passengers boarding. I thought it to be good measure to identify people in case of any mishap.
Since I was in front of que, I took my seat at the front deck of the boat which was an open area and I was accompanied by other foreign tourists.
I could feel that my decision of selection of seat was a mixture of pros and cons. Pros, being an open area access to sea view, feel of sea breeze, limited population. Cons, being exposed to direct sun rays leads to heavy skin tanning. Here pros won over cons. I sacrificed my body for tanning over the beauty of nature.
I was given company by a family with three children and group of beauties. Formal introduction took place and I got to know that they all were from Britain, Brazil and U.S, surprisingly they all were not friends but accidentally became friends when they met each other during their stay in one hotel and now they have become good friends and enjoying together in all trips.
This is something which I feel is the true benefit of travelling alone in a new world where you don’t know whom you will meet and who will become your best friend, just you have to match yourself to each other’s requirements and enjoy.
The journey started with a good speed and for the first time I was travelling on a speed boat and that too a big one.
The sea was rough and time and again the boat used to rise and fall on water, creating splash for those sitting at front. I saw many passengers started applying sun block on their body and one fellow passenger offered me too but I refused by saying that since my skin is already dark, now nothing can make me fair, this statement made the environment lighter and all started laughing. The view from open deck was charming and there was no regret of getting tanned after watching beautiful sights.
