For my stay at Maldives, I did lot of research in the form of resorts, hotels, locations etc and after much research I found Sun Island Resort and Spa to be the best for my first part of journey. For stay of 5 days, I could have chosen one destination but I decided to stay at two places to get best out of Maldives. So, I chose Sun Island Resort and Spa located in South Ari Atoll & Rashdoo Island for second part of my journey.
Reason behind choosing two different location was mainly to explore the luxury part of island and the local culture. Sun Island shows the luxury picture of the country but Rashoo had the taste of local culture. It was like two sides of a coin.
Booking for Sun Island Resort and Spa
In order to visit Sun Island Resort and Spa, transfers had to be booked in advance since it is located far from Male airport and the resort manages transfer of all the guests as per the booking. The only condition is that guests are required to report at the Resort’s counter before specific timing which is 9:30 A.M. My flight reached much before the cut-off time so it was not a matter of concern for me.
As I stepped outside Male airport, I found counters of nearly hundreds of resorts were available just outside the gate and the travelers can visit the counters of respective resorts based on their booking. Since the counters were in abundance and were not serially arranged, so I had to search counter of Sun Island Resort but since it was making difficult to search, so I enquired one of the counter about my resort counter.
The receptionist took me to the counter of Sun Island, where I found the representatives of resort were assembling all tourists for the island transfer. I provided my booking voucher to him and he asked me to wait till his list is complete.
Since, there was some waiting time, so I just stepped out of the cluster of booking counters, where the view was like:

So, there is sea in front of airport gate, indeed mesmerizing to see clear water in front of airport gate, this was indeed a unique experience. This was the first time when I had seen sea water in front of airport gate.
