Laungewala Post

Before we step in, foundation stone at the entry gate speaks the brief story of war:

And parallel, stands the toll milestone showing distance of international border and nearest city.

As we stepped inside the premises, we started from the left side which was a war memorial museum. The museum carries pride moments of Indian Army which has been collected during war of Laungewala during 1971.

There was also a hidden story of this battel, which was not heard by me and neither by any of my friends or relatives. After the battle of Laungewala, there was another battel which was fought in the same area. I recalled that this was not shown in the “Border” movie but the name of characters as shown in the movie was correct. This battle was Battle of BOP 638…
