We reached the park, bought ticket of Euro 10 per person and entered the park.
This park is a combination of greenery along the beach side and home for some reptiles. So, we divided the park into three segments and the first segment was the beach, so we headed towards the beach without any delay.
The beach was very long but the visitors were tool less. It was bright, hot and sunny day, which might be one of the reason for beach to be empty. But when vacation mood is on, than who cares of the climate. Tanning has now “no” effect on my skin, because whatever damage could be done has actually been done. So, we took off our slippers and started walking on the shore, while water was covering our feet and returning back frequently. Usually the sand heats up during such bright and sunny day, but when you walk on sand below the water than it is refreshing.
We walked to the place, on the beach, where trees were in abundance and had a place to sit and relax. We spotted one such place and we sat there to relax. Within a short walk, my t-shirt was completely wet due to sweating and I found a place on tree to hang it for few minutes for drying and now I was more prone to tanning.
The Bluetooth speaker was keeping the atmosphere alive all the time, which was also switching connections between my mobile phones and my wife’s mobile phone. We visited with good planning, since we were carrying power bank for backup, so the trip preparation was good from my end.
It can be seen in both the pictures, above and below, that the beach was completely empty and there was complete silence around. What was disturbing the silence, was the music of our speaker, which I felt for some moments as irritating for the nature.
The silence of beach also carries music of its own and it requires lot of efforts to understand.
After relaxing for few minutes, we headed to the second section of the Park, but before that we captured the memories at the small resting place at the entrance of beach which was offering picture perfect location.
The Plantation house was the next segment, which is a good and oldest example of the French Architecture at La Digue, being a French Colony, once upon a time.
The architecture of our hotel was also inspired from French architecture but the Plantation house is a real one.
The entire structure except foundation of house, was made up of wood and all the furniture, fittings were crafted in wood.
As can be seen in above image, the sofa set is designer and crafted in wood, the flooring, doors, windows and the serving cart is also made up of wood. It is one of the finest and oldest French Architecture in La Digue which showcases the old school of French Art. This house was once used as a residence by a family but now it is used as a museum, but I heard from someone, that it is still used for residence by some VIP guests, which I doubt after seeing the luxury and maintenance of this house.
This house is an ideal house for living a luxurious life, with lots of windows for incoming of fresh air, perfect architecture of the furniture, spacious bedroom with high ceilings and the low temperature of house as compared to external environment, which we could feel.
