A Cup of Coffee @ Maldives

“A cup of coffee” is a series of feelings which reveals my emotions, analysis at the end of the tour. I have my own reason for keeping this title for all the blogs, which I will keep on posting at the end of the journey. Timing of my cup of coffee, usually marks the end of my tour because it is either at the breakfast time or it is early morning time.

The timing of coffee is relevant because it is usually morning time and morning has its own significance in life of everyone. Every beautiful journey starts with the morning and it is the time of the day when we say thanks to god for giving us a new day and we make plans for new day, leaving past behind. It is the time of day when fresh thoughts originate and gives new dimensions to our thoughts and feelings.

Let’s begin the series-

Early morning with mild breeze with signs of early showers and exotic location, all these natural phenomena makes a perfect situation for a cup of coffee. The trip to Sun Island was about to finish and it was the time to recall all the events, desires, dreams related to Maldives.

Staying at luxurious water villa and visiting Maldives was once a dream and a cup of coffee took me to the memory lanes, where once I used to dream of visiting Maldives, once in my lifetime. All dreams are not fulfilled but some get fulfilled.

Maldives, is no doubt a luxurious place and an expensive place to visit, the cost of travelling within the islands and resorts is very expensive. Usually, the island transfers cost around USD 200 to USD 350 per person for to and fro journey and the cost of water villa ranges from USD 200 to USD 2000 per day, so for visiting Maldives, large amount of savings gets liquidated, but truly, the country is blessed with beauty of nature. Just to add that, when I am referring cost, it is for tourists and not for citizens.

While having a sip of coffee, the mood was philosophical. It was early morning time and there was pin drop silence around, occasionally, song of birds was audible which was coming from far. The only regular sound which could be felt was of air breeze. The beauty of the morning can not be captured in words, the forces of nature were present around in the purest form, no pollution in water or air and so it was time to relieve pollution from the internal soul.

I was feeling the freshness of air while having a cup of coffee and was recalling all those moments which I had lived at Maldives, all the events, activities, were crossing like a movie clip inside my memory lane.

Arrival at Sun Island, canoeing fun, swimming pool, bicycle ride, evening tour, water villa, night party and all such events which happened in past 2-3 days. Also, feeling, sorry for spending hard earned money on the leisure trip but also feeling great on accomplishing my dreams. There is always a fight between fulfilling dream and spending money and one has to lose,

While drinking coffee, thoughts were running inside, on the damage caused by humans to nature and the adaptability of nature to pardon all the sins of human beings. Selfless love of nature, could be easily seen in Maldives, as the cluster of islands together make Maldives a country and being water locked from all the sides, the survival is very difficult for human beings, but any adversity also brings an opportunity and the same case is with Maldives. The country is gifted with the islands, which have extensive lagoons and they look exotic to human eyes and this gift has been encashed by the leaders of this country. Now, this country is one of the luxurious destinations of the world, this all became possible due to “Gift of Nature”.
