End of Day-1

Posted on January 16, 2019January 16, 2019 by Abhishek Prahladka

The

They were unlike cops in India where presence of cop only means money.

I stood for a while and checked their behavior. They were wearing shorts and having no fire arms. The behavior was polite and were asking to wear helmets to pillion riders whenever they see any rider without it. May be, this is beauty of Thai culture.

I identified the shop but before depositing I had to refuel it.

Actually, the bike was given on a condition that the tank needs to be full at the time of return, since it was given full at the start of journey. I enquired a shop about the fuel station nearby and it was just 1.50 kms from the shop, so it hardly took ten more minutes and I deposited bike after the cut-off time, took my passport and went towards my hotel.

As the time crossed 10รณ clock, I was little worried, as for the first time I had deposited my passport to an unknown and that too outside India. Once a thought ran inside my mind that suppose if the shop is closed for the day than my programme for next day would have spoiled. Travelling to Phang-Nga Bay without passport was impossible since I was not scheduled to return to Phuket next day. This incident was very close.

Location of my hotel was not downgraded as compared to Patong beach in terms of availability of music but it was more of live bands playing soft music and people enjoying drinks while seated out of cafes and some even dancing with their mates on romantic tunes. I could not control my temptation and without going to hotel, I decided to enjoy till energy lasts.

I started from corner of the street where my hotel was located and took a round of entire market.

The environment of this place was perfect for those who love to enjoy light surrounding.

Passing through shops, varieties of fishes could be seen which were kept outside restaurants to lure tourists. Many of those species were unknown to me and my interest was limited too to the extent of watching and clicking picture of dead fishes covered in ice cubes.

But, on the other hand I came across shops of those items which delighted me a lot.

So, now the competition was between two wonderful creations of nature, both having identity and taste of their own but whose consumption is based on belief of an individual.

My body could resist only fifteen more minutes, after which it was an emergency situation for my body.

So, I took shots of live bands for five minutes and returned to my hotel.

I noticed that even from balcony of my room, bands could be heard and seen clearly but now no more energy to sustain.

The day ended with moments like that of roller coaster.
