The place where I chose my hotel was located in the heart of city where shops of fruits, merchant stores, travel agencies, cake parlor, etc. were in abundance. Hurriedly, I checked in my hotel room and came out of hotel to book next day’s trip.
I went around the area but could not found any open shop and my watch was resting at 7:30 PM.
I went long distance in search of tour and travel agency to book tour for tomorrow and found one small shop which was about to close.
I rushed towards the shop and asked the lady at the shop to book tour for tomorrow. The lady looked me from top to bottom and asked me to come inside shop.
My mind could not guess what actually she was looking in my appearance but after all I was in a country of beauties so didn’t mind her behavior.
She offered me seat and presented options of tours. I chose option to go to Phi-Phi Island without any delay as I was running out of time and the opted tour option was longest and cost effective.
I could not bargain very much at that time as alternatives were almost nil. So, I agreed to pay 1000 THB for the trip and at the same time inquired her about scuba diving, posters of which were pasted on the walls of shop.
She quoted me price of 5000 THB for two fun dives. I felt it to be too costly so I offered her a deal to book both the things at the price of 5000 THB. She called owner of the shop over telephone and discussed my offer but could not deliver positive response from her side. So, finally my next day trip was booked without scuba diving and I was told to be ready at 7:00 a.m. in the morning.
I asked the lady to suggest some restaurants where I could get vegetarian food to eat. She told me couple of options where there was possibility of getting vegetarian food.
I went around to explore the options but all were closed for the day and by 7:45 PM there was absolute silence on the streets. But I was still loving walking on the streets of Krabi. The roads were clean and dividers were painted in color of nation’s flag along with decoration of lighting.

This decoration on streets was sign of country’s pride and love of people for their country. The color of flag was combination of red, white and blue and was charming to see these colors glowing bright on the streets at night. Even the traffic lights were decorated with the cartoon characters and animals figure so that it doesn’t look like traditional crossing lights and gives a trendy look to crossing signals where people would enjoy stopping.
I kept on searching for food going around the streets but could not find anything. Lastly, I decided to return back to hotel and try my luck for last time.
While I was returning, I found one shop far away which was shining with the use of light. Curiously, I went near to the shop and found it to be a cafe shop which was empty inside.
I was disappointed to see as empty cafe since a café and that too empty is not possible especially in 21st century. I thought that the shop was closed. But, I saw the board hanging on the door. It was written ‘OPEN’ and these four alphabets infused life in my stomach.
I went inside the cafe but could not see anyone sitting at the counter. So, in a low tone I shouted whether cafe is open or not.
Having heard my voice, two people came out from the room attached to the cafe and asked me to place order. Out of all options available, I ordered fresh mango shake to drink and pastry to eat.
I am sorry to state that I ate pastry having egg but there was no other option available, however, this high calorie food was enough to survive for a night and I was successful in doing that.
