James Bond Island

Posted on February 24, 2019February 24, 2019 by Abhishek Prahladka

Since it was low tide, water was not enough for our big size boat to anchor near the island, so alternative was present too. They had the arrangement of small size boats which was capable of loading 20 passengers at least and those boats were assigned task of loading passengers from big boat and unloading at island & vice versa.

So, our boat stopped side by side of this boat and one after another we shifted to small boat for our journey to James Bond Island. So, this was third category of boat since morning which was used for our journey.

James Bond Island is a name given to small rocky island after the shooting of James Bond movie in 80’s on this island and after that this place got new identity as James Bond Island and lost its own identity. But what made producers of James Bond series to shot movie at that location…the answer lies in the rocks of the island.

As our boat was reaching near to the island, the view of iconic rock was getting clear and finally as we arrived it was right in front of us.
