Second Part
Second Part is all about haunting stories about this place. In my previous blog, I had already hinted on some of the haunting events at this place, in this part I will narrate the stories heard from various sources.
Story 1 – Villagers leaving nearby had heard unusual sounds from the village while passing near the village
Story 2 – There is a folkfore that the village was vacated overnight so the precious items were left behind and thus the villagers cursed this village so that no outsider can do the robbery and since than this village is cursed and whosoever tried to enter this village with intention of robbery, has been killed. But there is no evidence of killing till date.
Story 3 – This village is haunted and so the animals also don’t enter this village during day or night time.
Story 4 – The modern story is all about the experiences of people who visited there as tourists and they claim that they have faced hauntings. Some say that they had heard some unusual sounds inside the village. Some claim that, they have seen someone at this place and on following the person, it disappeared.
It is not an end to stories but it was just sample from what all I heard during my trips to Kudhara village, the stories will not end, unless an investigation is conducted which solves all the puzzles.
Third part
My views on this place is not about any kind of investigation but it is about my feeling after visiting this place time and again.
These pictures were taken during 2013 when I visited Jaisalmer for the first time-
Now, I will share recent photograph, taken during my trip to Jaisalmer.
The point I would like to put forward is the difference in the situation between 2013 and 2020.
A site, where mystery has not been unfolded till date has not been protected/preserved till date and it is depleting on a daily basis. I have compared the situation of same place at different point of time and the result is below-
- I had shared two pictures of 2013, (because I had lost remaining pictures in a theft) which has a real feel of village and the structures present there are not destroyed, meaning that the walls of the houses are still intact and standing but now it has been destroyed completely and it doesn’t look like a wall anymore. This is major problem in my opinion, the requirement was to preserve this site in its natural state but instead of doing that, government is re-creating the structures. Still there is no control on visitors on stepping on the residual site, which is destroying the site more and more, but government is still busy in re-creating this site. I don’t know the reason or logic behind re-creating this site, I believe that if this site is re-created, it will lose it’s importance as a haunted site or cursed site because the attraction lies in the original form of this site.
- This village was abandoned long time back but still the architecture of the village was intact like any other village, which meant that there was road inside the village and wide enough for vehicle to enter. However the road was not made properly but it was raw, but sill good enough for vehicle to drive. When I visited this village in 2013, we took our jeep directly inside the village but now there is a parking outside the village and the tourists have to walk to enter this village. The artificial path has been developed now, to enter this village. This artificial path has killed the natural look of this village.
- In 2013, when I visited this place, there was no entrance fees to enter this village site but now there is an entrance fees for visitors.
- In 2013, when our vehicle was parked inside the village, the feeling was real and raw, but now artificial construction has been done, thus destroying the natural look of the village.
- Investigation has not been done till date about this site and without any outcome or report, the original site is now being disturbed. I found only one stone at the site which provides some details of this site and this has been installed recently and to my knowledge of this site, the information contained on this stone is half correct, which I had heard from various sources and most of them are in sync.
6. There were only two structures which were safe, one is the temple and another is a house, whose owner is unknown, but now some new structures have been built which is destroying the authenticity of this village.
To be continued…
