Fencing was also done near land mine area, I hope it is not active now.
As per the description of war, this fencing helped a lot at the time of war. Since, the land mines destroyed some of the tanks of enemy country and hence they stopped moving ahead and started clearing the land mines.
Due to this search operation, they wasted nearly 2 hours of the battle and this gave time to Indian soldiers to respond through air attack.
