Days passed by and I slowly & slowly started informing about my trip to my parents & some of my office colleagues (who will act as savior which I knew).
My parents allowed me as they were very well aware of my earlier expeditions and were fed up with my backpacker tours, but still they were helpless. But their first concern was related to my safety & security of the place which I am planning to visit, along with some other details like, duration of trip, time of trip, are you alone or accompanied by someone, etc… for which my reply was ready as ever.
But interestingly this news I tried to keep in undercover but it spread like fire amongst all family members. As I requested my mother not to tell some relatives living in Kolkata about my trip, since my flight was scheduled to depart from Kolkata & this visit of mine to Kolkata was almost after 10 years. But who listens, now I had obligation to visit all relatives living there in a small span of time and that too at same time.
I was aware that it was going to be a big mess and my forecast was true, how??
Actually it happened that there was strong force from my relatives to stay at their houses during visit and all were trying to oblige me. For me it was like a situation of do or die for all places. I can’t deny anyone and all were not ready to compromise on my request to decide amongst themselves. This time I realized my worth…as I treated myself worthless every time.
Nevertheless the most important task was to get leave from office for full one week which was also full of action. As a part of company procedures I had to apply for long leave at least one month advance and that I did without any fail. But it was not approved on one go as my boss told me to reply on the leave application after discussing with senior management so that company’s work is unaffected.
