We were told that “Sea is all yours and you all are free to do whatever you want to do”. So, I took a life jacket and dived into water to relax on calm water.
It was a bright sunny day so the calm and cool water was a soothing for the body.
Another adventure was to try for diving from ship board. The height of the ship was almost 30 feet so it was another thrill added to the tour.
I hesitated at once, but after watching others trying diving, I also tried the same for first time from that height. I did dive almost two times within a span of 5 minutes and it was adding thrill to my trip.
As I was busy in diving, an Indian traveler on board who was almost same of my age approached me and asked me about the risk involved in doing so. I explained him that it is riskless and if not tried earlier, he should try it for once.
He reluctantly asked me to accompany him to top of the ship so that he could see how to jump and to try the same.
I took him on top of the ship & asked him to jump but he insisted me to jump first. I jumped off the ship and from below I shouted at him to be brave & jump, this boosted his morale & he jumped off. This was the start of diving adventure for him, as after that he did this for couple more times. On return from that place, he thanked me for removing acrophobia from him and it was my second friendship on boat.
After playing with water, as usual, stomach felt tired and this was well taken care by the crew members as food was ready to be served while we were relaxing on water.
The food was combination of non-vegetarian in majority with few items of vegetarian which included fruits, rice and some curry of vegetables.
I called the cook who was a lady and asked her to explain about the dishes, she guided me to the vegetarian dishes and told me that rice & curry is only which I can try as a vegetarian. Curry was very difficult to identify as I had never seen the vegetables used to cook that curry except carrots.
Nevertheless, rice and carrots were sufficient for me and salads in addition made it complete. The food was delicious for the lovers of fish as there were varieties served on board and all were very happy to have fish made in traditional Thai form.
Usually I avoid sharing my food table with non-vegetarians but since in a country where non-vegetarian is a prime food and majority of people on board were non-vegetarians, so gradually I started accepting people to share my table with fish, pork, chicken and….on the food plate. The boat was stand-still for the lunch so that there is no disturbance for passengers and after half-an-hour we started our journey again to our second last stop of the journey which was James Bond Island.
