Trip to Thailand was start of my independent international visits and no words to explain that I choose heaven to start with. I could have started writing from first backpacker trip of my life within India but I decided to choose Thailand because it was my first journey outside Indian boundary alone, which I realized, was not normal thing to do after I completed it, so I thought to kick start with this trip.
The trip went beyond my expectation and it also changed my perception about a backpacker trip.
The plan to visit was like “striking iron when it is hot” because there was no specific plan to visit foreign country and I was planning for a trip to place within India like Goa. One fine day I saw an advertisement on the website showing that ticket to Bangkok for to & fro journey is Rupees Six Thousand Only & offer being valid for limited period.
I did not took this as a serious case because many times I have seen that these types of advertisements are either misleading or they carry certain terms & conditions which are not very difficult to meet but they bind you with certain obligations. Thus I continued my search, research on various online ticket booking websites who were offering special fares, discounts, customized packages, etc.
But all my hope shattered when I saw that to & fro fare from New Delhi to Goa is almost Twenty Thousand rupees and the cost of additional tour package option could have taken my budget far from my reach.
