The birds were engaged in many fun games like crossing ring, number identification, puzzle solving, flag hosting, etc.
The show started with the formal welcome of the guests and that was done in a unique fashion.
The presenter of the show was involving all the kids present there in various activities being performed by Birds, one such event was “crossing the ring”which was performed by Blue and Gold Macaw (just for information – Blue and Gold Macaw is a name of a Bird, which belongs to Parrot family)
Since kids and the visitors were also involved in the activities, the excitement and enthusiasm level were very high, for all the visitors.
Different activities were performed by different species of birds but most of the activities were performed by the Parrot family, may be due to their specific capabilities to perform the task.
The Birds were trained to perform the task and with some small hiccup, they were successful in their performances. As a human being, it may be a hiccup for me because I am expecting birds to perform activities done by human beings, but, when it comes to performance of natural habits by birds, there is no error and they perform their natural task as per their need.
One such task was solving puzzle which was performed by the bird in this way-
Another brain test was given by Blue-and-Gold Macaw Parrot, what was that test???
Have a look at it.
During the show, no visitors were allowed to touch the bird or go near the performance area but at the end, opportunity was given by the presenters to feed the ducks.
They brought a group of ducks to the Amphitheater and set the arena free for all the visitors to feed the ducks. They also kept a bowl of corn and some other food items to feed. Having announced this, there was rush to feed all the ducks and I also got the opportunity to feed them.
After food was finished, the group of ducks marched back to their home.
The show was over and I headed to the last point of the KL Bird Park which was Photo Booth where Bird Photography is done. This booth functions entire day but with a break of 30 minutes after every hour, I took the token number for my turn and sat near the photo booth.
When I got my turn, I found myself surrounded with birds and they found place to sit on my body parts, head, shoulder, hand, thigh. All were sitting calmly but movement was unstoppable.
It was maiden experience when i was surrounded by the Birds, mostly belonged to the Parrot family.
I managed to get names of few, on my right hand-The Scarlet Macaw, on my left hand-Blue and Gold Macaws, on my left shoulder- Umbrella Cockatoo, on my right shoulder-The Black Palm Cockatoo, over my head- Rainbow Lorikeets and my favorite was sitting on my left thigh- Rose Breasted Cockatoo or Galahs.
There is no end to the love of nature, if you love nature, you can spend the time with the nature’s unique creation for hours, days and it has no end, but the journey has to continue…
My photo album was richer after adding pictures of below species.
