The concept and design of this park is excellent, since it offers forest like conditions to birds and it is actually pleasant to look such scene closely.
There are more than 60 species at this park but what makes this park so special??
The presence of “Rhinoceros Hornbill” which is the country’s National Bird and a vulnerable species listed in IUCN red List.
Hornbills have been kept inside a cage but few of them were also roaming around and it is very difficult to spot them, being a dense forest around. The park offers excellent opportunity for candid photo shots and thus it was useless to take picture of Hornbill inside cage and I started my search of Hornbill in the small forest.
Truly speaking, in my two visits to this bird park, I was successful only once to take random shot of Hornbill and indeed it was the lucky moment, because, it was very difficult to track a bird inside a forest and sometimes birds also get the sense of human presence and they fly away (which happened in my case also), so the time is always available in seconds and my success percentage was 50.
But the result of my efforts was that, I was able to capture image of a mind-blowing creature.
It was very difficult to spot this bird in the dense trees and thanks to my camera for taking the perfect click. I could not get the glimpse of Hornbill in my second visit, even after spending good time in the search.
The next section was having the biggest area because it was a free-walk area for all bird species and the species spotted was the most beautiful among them.
Watching peacock from so close and in most beautiful pose was a matter of joy. Countless number of Peacocks could be seen roaming around and feathers were so wide that it could stretch for 8-10 feets.
The beauty of “National Bird” of India was mesmerizing.
I tried to complete the entire area within my personal time table, however there is no restrictions from the Park, but the number of species were in large numbers and in order to capture each and every habits of these species, it is required to spend entire life at the park. So, I had to allocate my time table for each variety of birds and the activities were also about to commence, so I reached to Zone-4 where Bird Show was about to start at the Amphitheater.
