Vacation at Rasdhoo & Lemon Drop Restaurant

Posted on May 16, 2018 by Abhishek Prahladka

After getting access to wi-fi, I checked the messages and in all the messages, I saw the message sent from Mr. Ahmed (owner of Holiday Garden) regarding timings of speed boat from Male to Rasdhoo island. To sum up the complete details, speed boat is available from Mahe to Rasdhoo two times daily, one in morning at 10:00 A.M & second one at 16:00 P.M. Nevertheless, the response from him was too late but still my luck favored me and I reached the island safely.

My next target was to explore island and to book for diving. So, before reaching Rasdhoo, I was aware of one of the divining centres at Rasdhoo which I came to know through the dive centre at Sun Island Resort and the same name was suggested by Mr. Ahmed also. “Rasdhoo dive Centre” is one of the famous dive centers at Rasdhoo island and to my belief, it is a five star dive Centre at the island.

I found out the route to the dive Centre on map and it was only 5 minute’s walk to the dive center, so I reached dive Centre and met Mr. Imran who was in-charge of the dive Centre. He was fabulous in his approach and me being a certified diver, he took all the details of my past dives and the skills and the open water dive was scheduled for 9:00 A.M next day.

It was almost noon and after travelling from Sun Island to Male and then to Rasdhoo with strict time limits, my top priority was food which I got in the form of Sandwiches, French fries & mock tails and above all the place was exotic too. The interior was like any other restaurant but the hanging lamp posts were worth watching and were attractive.

The Lemon Drop Restaurant was near to ATM booth and was very good place to have lunch with option of vegetarian food.

The taste of food was good and the mock-tail was something new to taste that day. Overall it was very good experience to have food there and thereafter my exploration of island begin…
